400 Club Coach Jacobs has his team peaking at the right time...surprise, surprise... 5/11/11 Richland, WA Regional Baseball has begun and the road to Tacoma is underway. "Sub-Regionals" began yesterday across Eastern Washington.  

State Rankings

  The Columbia Basin Big Nine League is arguably the best HS conference in the State when it comes to Baseball. Who could argue with the last 10 years or so when the Big 9 has been represented in the Championship Game 8 times winning the title 5 times.

Washington High School Baseball For the Richland Bombers a dream season ended nightmarishly on a cold May night at Safeco Field. The Bombers, who used pitching and pressure offense to return to the 4A title game for the 2nd straight year, could not put together enough offense to overcome the pitching of Kentwood. For the weekend the Bombers would muster just 3 hits, 1 in the semifinal, and 2 in the final. It did not help that Richland faced probably the top 2 pitchers in the state in Shorewood's Snell and Kentwood's Avery Kain. Though the outcome was not what Bomber Nation wanted, it was a fun weekend and a fun season. Hats off to this year's Bombers team for a great run!
