The Bombers are paced by 6'6" Junior Nathan Streufert a tall and lanky swing player who reminds us of former WSU star Klay Thompson in that he is more of an outside threat than a post presence. Over the last 2 weeks, Streufert has developed some nice power moves to the basket, moves that the Bombers will need if they hope to make a serious run at a state title.
Apart from Streufert, Richland has some of the best shooters around in Junior tandem Payton Radliff and Jacob DeVries, mix in Freshman guard Steven Beo and when these kids get hot (which is often) it can make for a long night for the opposig team, and with 3 shooters someone is bound to stay hot.
Other key peices of the Bomber puzzle are Seniors Mason Hilty, Levi Broeski, and Spencer Wheeler. Hilty is the heart and soul of this Richland team. His all-out devensive play, timely offense and heads-up style of play provides a huge spark for the Bombers. Broeske and Wheeler at 6'5" and 6'6" respectively provide key minutes off the bench and their rebounding mak be the overall key to the teams sucess.
The Bombers, after this weekends matchup against Stadium (Tacoma) will likely be significant underdogs to the likes of Garfield, Bothell, Jackson and even Curtis however if the way they handled 2012 4A runner-up Central Valley last week is any indication this team is NOT to be taken lightly.
