Week #8 and Beyond

Postby AlpacaRob » Sat Oct 15, 2011 8:57 pm

We have two weeks left before the cross-over. As I see it this is
the situation:
Chiawana 5-0, locked in as #1 seed, has one game left (vs Wenatchee).
Ike 3-1, Fate in it's own hands, has Richland this week and ends with win against Walla Walla.
Davis 3-2, reeling after two straight losses, plays Wenatchee this week, ends with non-league game.
Richland 2-2, Looking good with new QB, plays Ike this week, ends season with win against ML (I think).
Wenatchee 2-2, On the outside looking in, plays Davis this week, then ends with loss to CHS.

The Possible outcomes: Obviously this is a very big week. As I see it, the Ike vs Richland game will determine a lot. If Ike wins, they are the #2 seed and possible but not likely co-champions of 4A and Richland is out of the playoffs. If Richland wins, there are a host of possibilites, one of which is a possible three way tie for the second and third spots. The loser of the Davis-Wenatchee game is out and depending on the Ike-Richland game, the winner could be in line for the #3 spot, especially if the winner is Davis.

As I see it going down:
Richland defeats Ike
Davis rebounds and defeats Wenatchee
Riverhawks beat Panthers
Riverhawks 6-0 #1 seed
Richland-Davis-Ike in three way tie and face some sort of mini-playoff.

They wont do a mini playoff they already did that preseason drawing if ties happen so thats what determines that and sry no disrespect even though I know Zach is a stud playing for the wrong team Richland loses probably same scores as they lost to Davis!!!

Richland beats Ike 35-28. I think whitby will throw for a lot of yards and a couple of TDs. Hopefully BK Robinson will get a few touchdowns and break through as he's been very quiet this year.

Okay, I was a little off, but I did call the three way tie thing. Week 9 Chiawana takes care of business and Richland gets by an upset minded Moses Lake. Then what? Who do you see winning a Kansas City OT shootout? It really doesn't matter except for the pride factor because I don't see any of those three teams beating Mead. :ugeek:

Does anyone know for a fact when there is a 3-way tie do they play a mini-playoff like old days or are they still using the preseason draw by athletic directors. If they use the draw it sounds like Richland had the best draw because there is a lot of excitement by there fans.

If Richland is the 3rd seed and there opponent is Mead, it actually is a very good match-up for them. Mead doesn't throw the ball so Richland will have a chance, If anyone hasn't noticed Richland can't stop the pass or pass on teams that have decent secondaries. Major talent drop off for them.

So is Richland in if Chiawana wins?

From what I have found out, If Richland wins and Chiawana wins, then a three team mini-playoff will occur on Tuesday involving Richland, Davis and Wenatchee at a Nuetral Site. Which ever team has the lowest number drawn during the preseason will have a bye, while the other teams will play two 8 min. halves. The winner will then play the team that had the bye. The winner of that game will be the #3 seed while the loser will be #4 and the first loser gets #5. Could be quite dramatic.

Happened between the Kennewick Lions, Southridge Suns, and West Valley Rams in 2006, on Halloween. It was great for all the fans. The neutral site then was Sunnyside. I'm wondering if it would be the same place this year.
