Was that the entire turnout 8 players? Why do you think so few players? I know a friend of my daughters said he didnt want to do it because it was on Friday the last day of the TC camp, and he was spent from the long week and still had the night scrimmages to go. Do you think if it was held the Saturday before camp that would help? Were the local coaches putting the word out to the boys? Just seems that with 11+ local high schools more kids would like the opportunity for the showcase. Looks like you guys did a good job on highlighting the kids that turned out.

Yes, that was the entire turnout. It was our first go at a combine and I think several factors contributed to the low turnout:

-Friday: Yes, many players were tired and
- Some players had already left town for vacations, etc
- Many of the top players are involved in summer baseball and did not do the combine or team camp
- It was affiliated with the camp so other schools, though not disallowed from participating, probably did not know about it.
- Coaches knew about it, but I think the information needed to get out to the parents when it comes to that kind of stuff.

Overall it was fine for a first run event. We will definitely be doing more things like this in the future. We talked about doing another Combine before the start of the season, and may still.

We would LOVE to showcase more local talent!

I think the Saturday before the event would indeed be better.
